Who we are

EPC Components is a structural steel design and engineering practice based in Dublin 14, Ireland, run by Ian Ring. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this website. You can reach us at enquiries@epccomponents.ie or on 083 022 1056.

What we collect

• When you send an enquiry: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the type of enquiry and the project details you write.
• When you email or ring us: whatever you choose to send or tell us.
• Website analytics, only if you click Accept: which pages you visit, roughly where you are (town or city level), the device and browser you use, and how you found the site.

Why we use it

We use your enquiry details to reply to you, to quote, and to carry out any work that follows. That is necessary to take the steps you have asked for before and during a contract, and it is in our legitimate interest to keep a record of enquiries. We use analytics only with your consent, to understand how people use the site and improve it.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who handles it for us

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the website and our email:

• Vercel hosts the website and processes the enquiry form.
• Resend sends the enquiry notification and your confirmation email.
• Supabase stores a backup copy of enquiries on servers in Ireland.
• Zoho provides our email, from its EU data centre.
• Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) measures website visits, only if you accept cookies.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on the safeguards the law requires, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Cookies

This site only sets analytics cookies if you click Accept on the cookie notice. They come from Google Analytics (named _ga and _ga_...) and last up to two years. If you click Reject, none are set. Your choice itself is remembered in your browser so we do not ask again; it is not sent to us.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email enquiries@epccomponents.ie and we will reply within a month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
